Hungry Horrors is Now Available in Early Access on Steam!

The wait is over! We're thrilled to announce that Hungry Horrors has officially launched in Early Access on Steam. After over a year and a half of development, countless hours of iteration, and incredible support from our community, we're finally ready to invite you into our folklore-filled culinary adventure.

In Hungry Horrors, you step into the shoes of a spoiled princess who must trade her tiara for a skillet when a ravenous curse spreads across her kingdom. Your mission? Cook your way through encounters with legendary creatures from British and Irish folklore. But here's the twist: there's no combat. Every card you play is a meal served, and every turn is about keeping terrifying Horrors fed before they decide you look tastier than your cooking.

From the bone-chewing Black Annis to the water-dwelling Jenny Greenteeth, and even Beowulf's nemesis Grendel himself, you'll face creatures that have haunted legends for centuries. Each Horror has its own appetite, and food preferences. Learn what they crave, avoid what they despise, and serve the perfect meal to satisfy even the most monstrous hunger.

A Unique Blend of Deckbuilding and Cooking

Hungry Horrors is a card based indie game that replaces traditional combat with culinary strategy. Build your deck with authentic recipes from across the British Isles, from hearty Haggis to peculiar Stargazy Pie, from sweet Cranachan to comforting Fish and Chips. Each dish carries distinct tastes like sweet, salty, sour, bitter, savoury, or bland. Chain these flavours together to create powerful combos that can turn the tide of any encounter.

Customize your culinary arsenal with spices, rare ingredients, epic cookware, and unique artefacts as you journey through enchanted woods, rainy meadows, and spooky bogs. After each run, return to your base to refine recipes, season dishes, and unlock new abilities.
